Dear Participants,
On behalf of the Organizing Committee and Scientific Committee, we would like to sincerely thank you for participating in the 8^th International RILEM Workshop on Concrete Behaviour due to Fire Exposure, hosted with pleasure by Cracow University of Technology on September 18–19, 2025.

Through these two days, we had the opportunity to engage in in-depth discussions on fire-induced concrete spalling and concrete behaviour under fire exposure. With over 70 participants, nearly 40 presentations, and representatives from 16 countries and 42 research and testing institutions, the workshop fostered valuable scientific exchange and collaboration. We also hope that the conference dinner provided a pleasant and memorable moment of relaxation and connection among participants.
A particular highlight of the event was the Keynote Lecture by Pierre Pimienta (CSTB, France), titled “Understanding Concrete Under Fire: Experimental Approaches from Material Behaviour to Full-Scale Application”, which offered insights into more than 30 years of research in the field.

The workshop was organized in conjunction with RILEM TC 306-CFR “Concrete during Fire – Reassessment of the Framework”, chaired by Hitesh Lakhani (since 2025), Pierre Pimienta (until 2025), and vice-chaired by Robert Jansson McNamee.
